Dear Aaden,
Today you would be 17 years old. A number that seems unfathomable, impossible. Just yesterday you were here. Squishy cheeks and baby bat costumes and eyes I could get lost in.

This year the weight of your loss felt more palpable. A tang

August, you broke me wide open. But even in seasons of big transitions and big emotions, there is so much to be grateful for.
